The enchanting wave echoes breezing through the natural cathedral have served as a muse to many artistic types for ages. Following his 1829 visit, composer Felix Mendelssohn the cave’s eerie sounds inspired to write “Die Hebriden,” an impressive overture that greatly popularized the Scottish gem.
