Omega Centauri

At a ripe 12 billion years old, the Omega Centauri is the brightest and largest-known globular cluster within our galaxy. Given its natural luster, it’s not surprising that the cluster–despite its 15,800 light year distance from Earth–is still easily viewed by the naked eye.
