This year, the Sony World Photography Contest received an astonishing 139,554 image entries. Ranging from the beautiful to the desolate, the humane to the ultimately alien, judges sifted through hundreds of thousands of technically immaculate and artistically stunning representations of the world’s various corners. While the official award ceremony won’t be held until April 30th in London, we’re giving you a sneak peek at some of our personal favorite entries.
