Hughey Funeral HomeFor a few months, Bridgette Jordan held the title of the shortest living woman.

In September 2011, Bridgette Jordan was declared the world’s shortest living woman by Guinness World Records. Standing just 2 feet, 3 inches tall, Jordan held the title for only a few short months in 2011, before the record was quickly broken by Jyoti Amge that December 2011.

Jordan was born on June 9, 1989 in St. Louis, Missouri, but her family later moved to Sandoval, Illinois. Her height was attributed to a rare condition called Majewski osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type II.

Her younger brother, Brad Jordan, was also born with the condition. In fact, the two were both once named the shortest living siblings by Guinness. Sadly, Brad died in 2017 when he was just 25 years old.

“I believe that everyone should be confident in themselves,” Jordan said around the time she earned her title.

Unfortunately, Jordan died at just 30 years old in 2019.
