This guy didn’t ever really need opposition–he smeared himself on a weekly basis, with journalists and pundits frequently calling him out for allegedly being: a coward, a cowboy, a simpleton, a coke-head, someone who doesn’t understand idioms, a racist–the list goes on. Bush opponents jumped on him immediately, and to this day he is the president with the second lowest recorded approval rating of all time.
