In a tale practically begging for a Hollywood imagining, Stacy Schoeck of Georgia was sentenced to life in prison for her involvement in the murder for hire plot that resulted in the death of her fifth husband, Richard Schoeck. With guidance from friend Lynitra Ross, Mrs. Schoeck found personal trainer-cum-hit man called—and we’re not making this up—Mr. Results.

He shot Mr. Schoeck in a park, where he was lured following Mrs. Shoeck’s promises of a romantic tryst. To add insult to injury, Mrs. Schoeck was also having an affair. Mr. Results was given life in prison with no chance for parole, and even though Ross didn’t pull the trigger, she was given the same punishment. Truth can be stranger than fiction.

The Carlsbad, California murder of developmentally disabled Jodine Serrin, 39, played out like a nightmare for her parents, who saw her killer but didn’t realize it until it was too late. On February 14, 2007, Serrin’s parents visited her condo and walked in on what seemed to be a man having sex with her in her bedroom.

Young Man Slaughtered On Way To Visit Mom For Lunch; No Media Coverage

The horrifying murder and dismemberment of Rashawn Brazell, 19, took place in Brooklyn in 2005. Brazell was supposed to meet his mother for a Valentine’s lunch but never made it. Pieces of his body were later discovered in trash bags in a subway tunnel leading to the Nostrand Ave. station. Other parts were gruesomely found at a recycling plant.

Brazell’s murder received very little coverage, which critics attribute to the fact that he was African-American and homosexual. The NYPD has kept the case open but has no leads. A documentary regarding his case is in the works by filmmaker Terik King.
