For most, natural disasters conjure images of the apocalypse. But for photographers, they represent opportunity. Such is the case for Chile’s Calbuco volcano. It erupted twice in the past week after being silent since 1972, causing approximately four thousand citizens in the surrounding villages to evacuate, and Argentine authorities to warn their own citizens about the hazards of volcanic ash.
