From Cycling Under The Influence To Having Sex In A Cop Car

Megan Lynn Mondanaro And Aaron Seth Thomas Make Florida Man Headlines

Nassau County Sheriff’s OfficeBoth Thomas and Mondanaro were booked on charges of resisting arrest with violence, unnatural and lascivious acts, exposure of sexual organs, and driving under the influence.

It was Friday the 13th in Florida — a deadly combination.

The following incident took place in Fernandina Beach at around 11:40 p.m. when a Nassau County deputy saw what appeared to be a couple cycling under the influence and subsequently decided to stop them.

According to Local 10, the pair was almost hit by a car they cut off while crossing South Fletcher Avenue and reeked of alcohol upon being questioned. The deputy thus arrested the couple, but the weirdness had only just begun.

To his sheer disbelief, the deputy noticed shortly after placing the couple in his squad car that they had taken their clothes off and started having sex. When he and a colleague opened the door to stop them, the male suspect knocked one of the lawmen to the ground.

He then ran off into the night, leaving his presumed girlfriend to fend for herself. The woman, 35-year-old Megan Lynn Mondanaro, quickly became violent when deputies tried to place her in a different vehicle. Her blood alcohol level was .06, a breathalyzer three hours later confirmed.

Her boyfriend, identified as 31-year-old Aaron Seth Thomas, was later caught at a Cold Stone Creamery. His blood level, meanwhile, proved to be .145 — nearly twice the legal limit according to Sunshine State law.

In the end, both Thomas and Mondanaro ended the evening in Nassau County jail on numerous charges that included resisting arrest with violence, unnatural and lascivious acts, exposure of sexual organs, and driving under the influence.

Only in Florida does a casual bicycle ride end with all of the above.
