This Is What New York City’s Most Expensive Apartment Looks Like

Hello, wealth inequality. This week the 11,000-square foot penthouse at One57 sold for $100.5 million, making it the most expensive apartment ever sold in New York City. For comparison’s sake, that’s also how much a four-lane interstate highway would cost, or the annual expenditures in the country of Palau. Featured in the plutocrat paradise are six bedrooms, a steam room, library, and a movie theater. Mum’s the word on who actually bought it, but realistically you and I probably will never meet the guy, anyway. Check out more specs at The Roosevelts.

You Probably Couldn’t Survive In The World’s Coldest City

As New Yorkers proved to the world early this week, the threat of snowfall in winter is enough to drive you mad–or to the store and buy organic kale and hummus in bulk. But in Oymyakon, that threat is daily reality, and, well, they’re all doing just fine. We explore the city in photos and encourage you to check them out.
