Oriental Yeti
Dubbed the oriental yeti for want of better name, this hairless creature was discovered in 2010 in China’s Sichuan province. After emerging from the ancient woodlands surrounding the area, the oriental yeti was captured by hunters. Though the yeti’s appearance still baffles scientists, they believe the hair might have been lost due to mange.
Almiqui
The almiqui, also known as the Cuban solenodon, is found in the eastern mountains of Cuba – though very rarely. Since its 1861 discovery, only 36 have ever been spotted, prompting some to believe that it has become extinct. When the almiqui is seen, though, the unappealing creature boasts small eyes and dark brown/black hair, comparable to a shrew. It also features an elongated snout and a long, naked, scaly tail, comparable to a rat. Oh, and its saliva is venomous, too.
