Jorge Porto-Sierra: The Florida Man Who Tried To “Barbecue” Child Molesters

Osceola CountyJorge Porto-Sierra admitted to his intent to kill child molesters during his arrest.
For transparency’s sake, it should be noted that Jorge Porto-Sierra technically never joined the pantheon of real-life vigilantes. The Florida man was arrested before he could. Still, he admitted to police upon his 2018 arrest that he did try murdering several people — convicted sex offenders.
The bizarre scene unfolded at the Friendly Village Inn & Motel on U.S. Route 192. Witnesses recalled seeing him shout, “I’m going to kill you, child molester,” as he drenched the property in gasoline with a cigarette in hand.
When authorities responded to the scene, the 50-year-old Porto-Sierra admitted that he had planned to “barbecue all the child molesters on fire and kill them.” When police asked him why he didn’t, Porto-Sierra claimed that they had simply arrived too fast for him to do so.

Osceola CountyJorge Porto-Sierra was charged with four counts of attempted murder.
Authorities soon discovered that at least two of the men who Porto-Sierra targeted were indeed convicted sex offenders. One man had been standing outside of his room when Porto-Sierra leaped out of his car and launched into a tirade, which prompted the man to rush inside his room.
Porto-Sierra then broke a window and began dumping gasoline into the residence. Meanwhile, the man and his roommate fled through a back window. However, Porto-Sierra found two other people to attack. Sitting in a car outside, the two men found themselves being rammed by Porto-Sierra’s truck before he poured gasoline through an open car window.
“They raped kids, they are all child molesters that all live here and deserve to die,” Porto-Sierra later said as he justified his actions to the police.
While the Friendly Village Inn & Motel is indeed a popular place for convicted sex offenders (because it’s far away from schools and playgrounds), and at least two of Porto-Sierra’s targets were known sex offenders, the real-life vigilante still broke the law and thus found himself arrested for his actions.
