Talented Kids: Taylor Ramon Wilson

Although he’s barely old enough to drive a car, Taylor Wilson is both a nuclear scientist and a science advocate. Born in Texarkana, Arkansas in 1994, Wilson was always intrigued by rockets and space science. As a kid, he hung the periodic table of elements in his room and within a week he had memorized the entire chart.

At the age of 14, Taylor became the youngest person in the world to produce a nuclear fission. Since then, he has won numerous awards for his ideas and achievements in the field of science. At TED 2013, Wilson presented a number of his ideas on building small underground nuclear fission reactors. Members of the scientific community received his ideas well.
