4. Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like A Lady”

Steven Tyler complaining that a man looks like a woman is a strange irony, but that’s beside the point. The story behind this song begins when Aerosmith walked into a bar. Tyler and the band thought they saw a total babe with teased, bleach-blond hair and started heading over, but one hair flip later, the “babe” turned around and Tyler realized his mistake: It was Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil. The members of Aerosmith began repeating the phrase “That dude looks like a lady,” and an instant classic was born.

Vince Neil has been let in on the joke, and unlike the other people on this list, he doesn’t have any hard feelings about being the butt of the inspiration.
