Looking for a break from the highway? Check out Giethoorn. Often referred to as the “Dutch Venice,” this picturesque town about 50 miles outside Amsterdam has no real “roads”…just canals to sail or bridges to walk or bike–about 180 bridges, to be exact. It would be worth a visit just for the air quality alone.
