In addition to the dazzling lights, Austria also hosts more than 20 official Advent Markets, where shoppers can purchase gifts, sample culinary delights, stroll through the city and experience seasonal joy all around them. The Christmas Markets are an old Austrian tradition, dating back to the Middle Ages.
