Infamous for his biting critique of governmental hypocrisy and institutional abuses of power, many believe that Banksy first became active in England’s graffiti movement sometime in the late 1980s. Today, his enigmatic persona is best known for his stencil-esque pieces that typically offer some form of dark social commentary. Aside from his street art, Banksy has also successfully dabbled in film with Exit Through The Gift Shop.
