Several months after discovering the bodies of 14-year-old Mary Crocker and her 16-year-old brother Jr., charges were filed against five people including their parents.
When Mary Crocker’s body was discovered in late 2018, it was so beaten and mutilated that it was obvious she’d been tortured. From the investigation, police learned that Crocker was forced into a too-small dog pen for nearly 24 hours a day and her limbs tied with zip ties.
Her joints swelled immensley from the stress.
When her disfigured joints began to render her immobile, her family members tied her to a ladder in order to straighten her out.
The investigation into Mary Crocker’s death has sparked a debate about Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services. Prior to the discovery of her body, an investigation had been launched into the Crocker family and nothing came of it.
Due to the horrifying state of Mary Crocker and her brother’s bodies, people are outraged that the first investigation didn’t yeild any action.
